Julia Ferguson
Co-Founder and PCI Certified Parent Coach®
Julia and Andy have worked as a team in building this practice from its onset in 2011. They met while working at a treatment center for adolescent girls. Their passion for helping those struggling with emotional health and their ambition to someday run their own practice is what began the journey that is now Connection Counseling Center.
Julia’s worked on the administrative side of mental health treatment since 2002. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and is currently working on a Masters in Social Work. She is also a PCI Certified Parent Coach® specializing in coaching parents of preteens and adolescents to raise resilient children. She’s been highly trained in Appreciative Inquiry, one of the pillars of Positive Psychology. She loves coaching parents to get comfortable with the waves of change during adolescence and to build connection and autonomy in their preteens and teens.
In addition to one on one coaching, Julia is also a Positive Discipline Educator and enjoys engaging parents in the principles of positive discipline through her experiential parenting workshops.
Julia and Andy are the parents of 4 children. Julia enjoys running, gardening, traveling and watching musical theater.
